What you need to know

What is GDPR?

The General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) is a new European law with direct effect across the European Union, including the UK. GDPR builds upon, extends, and enhances the existing data protection laws. GDPR comes into force at the end of May 2018.

How is ATTRAQT affected by GDPR?

Like most businesses ATTRAQT handles the personal data of its customers and prospective customers, suppliers, contractors, partners and employees. In the delivery of ATTRAQT’s eCommerce optimisation services to customers limited quantities of end user personal data (i.e. IP addresses) and system user data (i.e. user email & log-in data to the ATTRAQT Fredhopper Business Manager or ATTRAQT Freestyle Merchandising Control Panel) are also handled. As for all businesses handling personal data, GDPR requires ATTRAQT to review and upgrade its data handling processes.

What is ATTRAQT doing about GDPR?

ATTRAQT is committed to complying with all of its data protection obligations and has a compliance programme underway. This involves identifying all the areas of our business where we handle personal data, and justifying, documenting and improving our handling of that data. Where necessary ATTRAQT will be upgrading security measures, improving processes and disclosures, plus putting in place new contracts.

Will there be any changes to my services from ATTRAQT as a result of GDPR?

Such changes needed are unlikely to affect ATTRAQT’s operational services, and Customers should continue to enjoy uninterrupted service during this time.
