Our Story

Fredhopper was founded in 2000 and Locayta was founded in 2003. Both companies were instrumental in pioneering the creation of the ecommerce industry.

Locayta became Attraqt in 2014, when it also became a public company through its listing on AIM.

In 2017, these two companies, with immense shared values and experiences came together to bring structure, scale and the ability to use smart data in order to enable the world’s leading brands and retailers to optimise their ecommerce performance.

Attraqt continues to strengthen this mission with its 2019 acquisition of Early Birds and its award-winning AI-driven personalization platform, the Experience Orchestrator (XO). A move designed to power the further innovation, scalability and growth of our business.

In 2020, Attraqt acquired Aleph Search to immediately extend and accelerate its AI IP portfolio and innovation path. This includes embedding AI at the core of it’s search engine.

In 2022, Attraqt was acquired by Crownpeak to expand its Digital Experience Portfolio with Product Discovery Capabilities. 

Combining Crownpeak’s powerful tools that create inclusive, omnichannel experiences with speed and simplicity and Attraqt’s leading ecommerce product discovery solutions allow us to deliver unified content-driven commerce experiences across all digital channels for over 300 world-class customers.
